How do I go about applying for a refund on iTax?
IT1 return refunds are no longer automatic. A taxpayer must initiate one from the refund menu of his profile. A refund will only reflect in iTax if the actual PAYE credits or other payment credits done in iTax are reflecting in the ledger and are in excess of the tax payable. As such, most employees working for MDAs may have a problem accessing their refunds until that time the solution will be provided to update the manual PAYE credits in their respective ledgers.
